About the Farmhouse

Moved to its present location in 1961, the Turner Farmhouse is a lovingly restored brick farmhouse.  This historic home has a richly appointed kitchen, enclosed porch, several sitting rooms, four bathrooms, and five bedrooms now with AC.

Nestled on over 250 acres, the Turner Farmhouse offers a private sandy beach, swim raft, private dock, sundeck, and aluminum canoe for guests to enjoy. Situated on the southern head of Isle La Motte, the property includes 2 miles of walking trails and 1.5 miles of private waterfront.

Offering sleeping accommodations for 10+ people, divided second floor bedrooms can be convenient for separate families or generations.

Large preserve on Lake Champlain - private dock, beach, walking trails, camping & boating

The Turner Farmhouse offers lakeside accommodations for ten or more people on a private preserve. Whether you're seeking a secluded nook for a family vacation of fishing, hiking, and reading, or a 250-acre wilderness for a team-building corporate retreat, the Turner Farmhouse can meet your needs. Kayaks, canoe and row boat available with power boat rentals in the area. We are pet friendly and have a fenced yard for your pet if wanted. We allow camping around the Farmhouse and can even accommodate travel trailers.

The house itself is located directly on the lake with access to boating, fishing, and swimming. We experience fantastic western sunsets to make the day complete, not to mention star studded heavens at night.

This historic home has a full kitchen, enclosed porch, several sitting rooms, three and 1/2 bathrooms, and five bedrooms now with AC. The home sleeps more than ten people and can accommodate many more for daily activities and gatherings. Provisions for babies and young children are available.
